My philosophy: What matters to me

I have always had a keen sense for different conversation styles, so my top value is respectful communication at eye level.

Time and again, I experience how openness and curiosity enrich and advance our lives – whether during family visits to Indonesia since 2004, on two study trips through Iran in 2017/18, during an interlude as a career coach for a wide variety of people in job application mode in 2019/20, or for twelve days in Cameroon in 2023, where I delivered a variety of talks, TV interviews and coaching sessions daily. The same spirit applies to all meetings, conferences, and workshops, whether on-site or, especially since 2020, through online meetings and corresponding training. My vision is to connect with people and experts from diverse backgrounds, communicate at eye level, and inspire one another.

Building on this vision, my mission is to take science out of the blackbox and into our audience’s minds and hearts. My talks and training sessions encourage scientists and experts to present complex topics clearly and engagingly, infused with personality and a dash of lightness.

Everything I do is guided by the most important values: honesty and sincerity, respect and appreciation, curiosity and ambition. These values have enabled me to adapt swiftly to online training in 2020 and to travel to Cameroon for twelve days within a few weeks in 2023, delivering speeches, training sessions, and TV interviews. My curiosity allows me to embark on unusual yet valuable experiences that broaden my horizons and enrich my life. I also cherish courage, vision, focus, internationality, people, and joy, which I intend to live out even more.

I distance myself from hate and intolerance, hasty prejudices, personal insults, and ignorance. I do not coach anyone who communicates condescendingly because I firmly believe that staying open-minded and respectful enables us to enrich our lives with new ideas, learn from others, and evolve as individuals. May these impulses guide our presentations and, of course, our everyday interactions.
